About The Artist – Ron’s Journey
Art Is My Love. Art Is My Life.
The Definition Of Talent:
A natural aptitude, ability or skill to be good at something without having been taught; a special ability that allows someone or a group of people to do something well.
Hello everyone. Ron Kennedy here. When it boils down to talent, deep down inside everyone harbors some type of skills.
My art creativity always remained at the forefront of my life. Love to paint and create!
Below are some of my paintings I had outside on display during one of my art fairs. A real fun time that weekend! Great weather. Amazing and creative people.
This fair would feature oil paintings, framed drawings of unique subjects, hand-crafted dolls, airbrush pictures, metal sculptures, watercolors, etc;
This was an exciting time every year! We all bonded together like family. All art lovers alike to get together for a great time!
Becoming An Author

I’ve always carried that urge to do something special. As author and Illustrator of my new humor book:
‘How to Select a Compatible Mate’
I know what it takes to succeed. When you put your mind to something and is determined to make it happen, it’ll happen. (You just have to stick with the task at hand.) Don’t give up!
“In Regards To Folks Dating, Recognize It’s A Crazy World Out There.” Crazy Enough You’ll Need A Scorecard Keeping Up With All The Various Profiles Of The Sexes. Wanna See What I Mean? Get Your Copy Here!”
You’ve always heard folks say; ‘Everybody needs love!’
When I was a young buck, I know I had my share of the young ladies and made a lot of love. I was a regular ladies man!
I had friends that would hang around me, so that they can meet women!
Back in the day, the rebel cry was ‘Make Love, Not War.’ The only ‘war’ we’d have was with the area street bullies.
The worst thing that would happen to us was a roughing up every now and then, by these neighborhood bullies.
They would rob us of whatever little money we had in our pockets. (sometimes tried to hide things in our socks, but we couldn’t outsmart those jokers. They just made us take our shoes off!)
A quick ‘shake down’ and it’s over!
Not the way things are today, especially on the city south side. Way too much violence! So sad!
Cartooning & music were my other two major loves (next to women).
Also, if I was not focused on my school work and got good grades, my mom would remind me to improve myself with a belt on my behind.
Later, when ‘Hollywood’ came to the city, I became interested in the movie business. For some reason, hollywood producers found Chicago an excellent place to shoot movies. When they came to film, I was right there auditioning!
But when I wasn’t doing this, you’d find me back at work in front of my drawing board. Business as usual.
I’m so thankful to God each and everyday for giving me the talent which He instilled in me. But I also take NOTHING for granted.
So now I would say to all of you, since you currently have more time at home, try your hand at pencil drawing. It’s easy!
Never put limits yourself! Dig deep within yourself and tap into that hidden talent!

Ron,
I loved what you’ve displayed here, you are truly a passionate individual and it is clear to see that your success is much deserved!
I to love to create as music is the reason I feel I breathe, like its in every fiber of my being. I really connected with what you said and I appreciate the motivations you spread out over the piece!
I can’t wait to read more from you soon!
Keep it up Ron,
Aaron
Thanks Aaron for the kind words. It’s a toss up between which one I enjoy doing the most; my art or my music. (I feel i’m very good at both.) The Lord has truly Blessed me. Over the past years, I ran across many others trying to break into the business. All I can do is tell them to never, ever give up the dream and keep hope alive.
You’re obviously very talented! Your paintings look great. I wish I could see them up close. I left a comment on your post about your book. It really seems like an interesting, funny read.
I’m curious…how long have you been an artist? Also, do you paint with acrylics?
I look forward to your response.
Good luck on your journey!

Hello again Britney. Welcome back and thank you. To answer your question, I first started drawing when I was in 4th grade. I had no one to buy paper for me (folks were poor), so I drew in the back of my text books. Got ratted out by another classmate, so I stopped. So It’s been over 45 years of creating. Britney, If you go to my main page, https://roncreations.com you’ll be able to see my oil and acrylic paintings.
Thank you Ron, I really enjoyed reading your post. It reminds me of the good old days! It’s fulfilling when you do something you love doing. And it is even more fulfilling when you have taught yourself to do it and develop it. I am sure there will be really nice illustrations in your book ‘how to select a compatible mate. It will have a lot of great humour as well. I should get a copy?
Thanks Juliet, glad you enjoyed my site. Loving what you do and being successful at it, is the ‘key to life.’ The book is very funny with some wacked out character personalities. Check it out, my friend, Downloadable right to your cell. Here’s the link: https://smashwords.com/books/v…

Hi Clement, thanks for checking in. It’s good to communicate with other art lovers and to share your time with them. In regards to the movies, I was selected as an ‘extra.’ It was cool to hang out on the movie set and meet the stars. I put my art on hold while I pursued a movie career.
